Commerce, GA (April 8, 2017)John Gaydosh went out in the first round of the NHRA Southern Nationals, but he is leaving Atlanta Dragway with his head held high and proud of his team and their Gaydosh Performance Chevrolet Camaro.

Gaydosh came into race day in the No.14 qualifying spot with an elapsed time of 6.773 at 205.72 mph.

“Saturday we went out and our first pass was okay. We went a 6.860/203.40, but it wasn’t what we wanted,” Gaydosh said. “We were then able to use the tune up from the first pass to improve on our second pass. We did pretty well on the second pass and got closer to where we want to be with a 6.773/205.72.”

In the first round Gaydosh faced defending Pro Stock Champion, Jason Line. Gaydosh cut a nearly perfect light: a .002 reaction time. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough of an advantage get him to the finish line first. Line took the win with a 6.550/211.16 to 6.682/206.95.

“I did pretty good on the tree in Round Two. The car ran the best it has on fuel injection with our own motor, so we’re pretty pleased with that. Hopefully we can improve on that and keep going forward,” said Gaydosh.

The next race for Gaydosh performance will be the NHRA New England Nationals in Epping New Hampshire, June 2 thru 4, 2017.
